ADIS (Afdx and Digital Injection System) for Flight Test Operations

Abstract

Development of modern avionics systems, due to their complexity, implies a very huge flight test activity and requires several avionics systems standard to get the aircraft certification.
Finding a way to reduce the part of them, the ADIS (Afdx Digital Injection System) system is used to increase the testing coverage at integrated avionics system level for each dedicated avionic standard.

ADIS system allows Flight test engineer to modify aircraft functions behaviour:
- Setting aircraft flight configuration for expected test conditions.
- Tuning both various aircraft parameters and function.
- Applying error injection during a flight test.

This paper describes the methodologies provided by the ADIS system, enhancing the flight test campaign.
