Abstract
Following its success with the Approach Monitoring System and the Receiver Surveillance System FTI Group was asked by Airbus to improve the IR lighting of the A310 MRTT in its AAR role.
Using a “Keep it Simple” approach the modified IR lighting system was designed and tested in short order, culminating in a successful acceptance flight on 10th December 2009.
