Abstract
This document describes the Airbus applied tests method to validate the Future Air Navigation System (FANS) developed on the Long Range and Single Aisle
Airbus aircraft families.
The first part of this document aims at highlighting two main topics on the FANS system. First, to point out the original reasons that led to its development launch decision, and then, to clearly identify and characterise all of its essential components.
The second part of this document first deals with the Validation Method steered out by Airbus to reach all of the validation objectives linked to the FANS system, and then, details all the test means developed with close regards to this applied method.
